Like many third year undergraduate students, I was going through an SFU mid-life crisis; a time in which the fear of not being able to land a field-related job after graduation was ever more prevalent. Thankfully, joining the SFU cooperative education program was the perfect antidote as it provided me the skills and resume boosting work experience needed to ensure a successful future out of university.
The issues surrounding religion can be highly sensitive and are seldom discussed freely in societies that are rooted in a particular one. Having moved away from home where I was raised Christian, I finally got the opportunity to question a lot of what I knew. I came to the conclusion that it is indeed possible for one to be spiritual without necessarily having a religion.
