60 Second Brownies

Brownies

I have a sweet tooth. And I mean a really sweet tooth. Unfortunately, this also comes with a not-so-good sense of self-control. When it comes to my sweet tooth, my go to dessert of choice would be brownies and, needless to say, I’d probably be able to polish off an entire batch at one go (especially when “studying”). But I’m not the only one right? Right?! That’s right. Well, luckily for us, there is a saving grace. This amazing brownie recipe satiates your cravings without leaving you in a hot mess of self-loathing and disgust. It is super simple to make AND it doesn’t require a lot of ingredients, time or even a working oven! Plus, it is very customizable so you make it to suit your own specific tastes. Win! Here’s the basic recipe:

Things you’ll need:

  • 4 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar (you can adjust this to your liking)
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder (do not use hot chocolate mix)
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • A dash of salt
  • A microwave
  • A coffee mug

Mix together all the dry ingredients in your mug. Add the wet ingredients and mix super well. Nuke your creation in the microwave for about a minute (exact time will depend on the power of your microwave). It should be a bit wet, soft and fudgey when finished. Top with a scoop of ice cream for maximal deliciousness.

The finished product (Note: this mug is huge)

Tip: if you like coffee, try adding a splash to make a mocha brownie. Nuts and chocolate chips work great too! Or, if you fancy, a small dollop of Nutella can be added to the mix. Feel free to share your unique additions in the comments.

Happy indulging!
