These are photographs taken with a flash (photographic) illuminating a completely dark room in blue, green, red, each of the primary colours.

The subject, a sheet of white paper, is not extraordinarily interesting, nor does it carry any fascinating artistic nature. Instead its purpose is simply to provide a surface for us to observe how blue light from a flashbulb colours an incident scene in an otherwise unilluminated (pitch black) room. Same with this gas chromatograph bench unit that was found skulking in the darkroom. Again, boring for most and nothing interesting to see but these photographs show you the how the flash filter makes something look.

For our final analysis, here are some pictures of a more artistic piece: the colour of water flowing from a tap onto a sink in complete darkness (as I call it):
